A transformative emphasis for increase productivity agricultural production
A transformative emphasis for increase productivity agricultural production
despite the massive amount of round-the-clock executive affairs, Dr. Nikbakht addressed to them a meeting with the head and deputy heads of the research, education and extension organization on the third weekend of January said: We have no way to increase productivity except knowledge-based agriculture, and on the way to achieve it, we have to operationalize and apply the results of research and bring knowledge to the fields.
In this meeting, Dr. Nikbakht, Minister of Jihad Keshavarzi, stated that 2.5% of the world's agricultural articles are related to the Agricultural Research, Education and Promotion Organization, and addressed the audience with emphasis:  This honor should be transferred to wheat fields, seed and input production, production technology and all agricultural sub-sectors, and the result that is the productivity and abundance of production with limited resources will stabilize the country's food production structure.
In the continuation of this discussion, the minister adds: the knowledge-based agriculture is the desire of the governance, therefore, science should be pursued within the framework of agricultural sub-sectors.
In this meeting, the minister also mentions a production strategy and emphasizes the issue of strengthening and supporting 12 agricultural products according to climate conditions and water shortage and backwardness in investment in agriculture.
Actually, for many years, the issue of the large distance between the results of applied research and agricultural fields has been raised in different ways and among executive circles as well as specialized agricultural media. In simple words, the research results remain on the shelves or archives of the Institute of Research, Education and Promotion (TAT) and do not have the necessary efficiency compared to the cost of running this large institution, that is, more or less research is done, but the effective mechanism for transferring the results to farms Does not exist.
